Information for Families

Clear information before care begins.

Choosing support for someone you care about can involve many decisions. These answers explain how Oladrex approaches some of the questions families commonly ask.

How do we start?

Contact us for an initial conversation. If the service appears suitable, an assessment can be arranged to understand the person’s needs, goals, preferences and risks.

Can family members be involved?

Yes, where the person wants this or where appropriate legal arrangements are in place. The person receiving care remains central to decision-making wherever possible.

Will we have the same care workers?

Continuity is an important aim. A small, consistent care team is preferable where staffing and scheduling allow, while safe contingency arrangements are also needed for absence and leave.

What happens if needs change?

Tell us as soon as possible. Significant changes may require reassessment, a care-plan update or involvement of other professionals.

How are staff checked?

Recruitment includes checks appropriate to the role, such as identity, right to work, employment history, references and PVG requirements.

How do we raise a concern?

Contact the service directly. Concerns and complaints should be acknowledged, reviewed and responded to through the complaints process.

How is personal information protected?

Information is collected and shared only where there is a lawful and appropriate reason, with access limited according to role and need.
